Function Inverse - Exercise 3 - Finding and Graphing The Inverse

Given the function f(x) = x2 + 1 with restricted domain x ≥ 0, find it's inverse by solving for y and justify the algebraic steps below.  Then graph f(x), f -1(x), and y=x on the same graph by hand or with a graphing calculator and show the graph below.

STATEMENT JUSTIFICATION
f(x) = x2 + 1 with domain x ≥ 0

y = x2 + 1
x = y2 + 1 is the unsolved formula of the inverse
