Suppose you are selling widgets online with $9.50 in gross profit
for every 100 visits to your website. You must buy online
advertisements like the one shown above that cost you 7 cents per
click and each person that clicks on the ad is directed to your
website. How many click-throughs are needed in order to make you
$10 in net profit?
Discussion: What if your bid of 7 cents
per click does not get you many clicks? Note that the higher
your bid price is, the better placement you get and the more clicks
